Hair transplant for patients from other regions of Chile
We welcome patients from La Serena, Concepción, Talca, Temuco and other cities in Chile who travel to Viña del Mar for their FUE hair transplant (hair implant) with Dr. Evelyn Alfonso.
Because the trip is longer, we organize the process so you only need to come a few times: the evaluation and much of the follow-up are done remotely, and we concentrate the in-person part into one or two well-planned trips.

La Serena
≈ 5 h via Route 5By car or direct bus to Viña del Mar along the coast. Another option is to fly to Santiago and continue by bus.
Concepción
≈ 1 h flight + transferFlight to Santiago and bus from the airport to Viña (≈ 1 h 30). By land it is about 7 hours.
Talca
≈ 4 h via Route 5 and Route 68Car or bus to Santiago and connection to Viña del Mar via Route 68.

What the process looks like if you live outside Viña del Mar
Online evaluation
Photos of your scalp and a video call with Dr. Alfonso. She reviews your degree of hair loss and your donor area.
Tests at the clinic
Pre-procedure tests are done at Clínica Lumos in Viña del Mar. We schedule the date to coincide with your trip so you come as few times as possible.
Trip and procedure
You arrive in Viña del Mar, the doctor confirms the design with you and performs the implant the same day (between 4 and 8 hours).
Remote follow-up
Check-ups with photos and video calls. If an in-person check-up is needed, we schedule it well in advance.
Plan your trip
Before you travel
- Consider arriving in Viña del Mar the day before the procedure.
- We have agreements with hotels near the clinic (10 Norte 875, Viña del Mar) for traveling patients: ask us on WhatsApp and we will help you book.
- Coordinate with us to have your tests done at the clinic as part of your trip.
- Bring the list of medications you take.
- If you are flying, check the return date with us before buying your ticket.
After the implant
- The procedure is outpatient, but you must not drive that day.
- The doctor will tell you how many days you should stay in Viña before going home.
- You leave with written care instructions and a direct WhatsApp channel.
- Follow-up continues remotely from your city.
One doctor, from start to finish
You are evaluated and operated on personally by Dr. Evelyn Alfonso, a member of FUE Europe, in an operating room authorized by the SEREMI de Salud (regional health authority). We use the FUE technique, including without shaving, and diagnosis with AI-assisted trichoscopy.
Traveling to another city for a hair transplant is an important decision: that is why the doctor is with you from the first video call to your final result.

Yes. The first evaluation is online, with photos and a video call. That way you know whether you are a candidate before planning the trip.
How many days do I need to stay in Viña del Mar?
It depends on your case and the distance. In general we recommend arriving the day before; the doctor will tell you during the evaluation when you can go home.
